Privacy policy

Just Yap has not launched yet. Right now this site does one thing: it collects an email address so we can tell you when the app is ready. This page explains exactly what that involves.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

• The email address you typed into the form.
• A short label recording which page the signup came from.
• The date and time you signed up.

That is the entire record. We do not ask for your name, and we do not store your IP address, location, or device details alongside your signup.

Why we collect it

To email you when Just Yap launches. We are not running a newsletter and we are not going to send you unrelated marketing. If you never hear from us, it means we have not launched yet.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your email address or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Two services are involved in running the site itself, and it is worth being straightforward about them:

• Vercel hosts this website and provides aggregate visitor analytics. That analytics does not use cookies and does not identify you individually — it counts page views, not people.
• Google Fonts serves the typeface used on this page. Because your browser fetches the font directly from Google, Google receives your IP address as part of that request. This happens on a very large share of the web, but you should know it happens here too.

How long we keep it

Until Just Yap launches and we have told you about it, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.

Getting your data removed

Email pretorius.ops@gmail.com and ask. You can request a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Since the record is a single email address, deletion is quick and permanent.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Changes

If this policy changes before launch, the date at the top will change with it.
