What is Just Yap?

Just Yap is a journalling app for people whose thoughts arrive faster than they can organise them. Instead of asking you to fill in a structured entry, it gives you one box and a microphone: you talk or type whatever is in your head, in whatever order it comes out. An AI assistant reads that raw dump, sorts it into tasks, ideas and feelings, and writes back. Nothing has to be tidy going in — the sorting is the app's job, not yours.

Why build it for ADHD brains specifically?

Conventional journals fail ADHD and neurodivergent users for a structural reason: they front-load the effort. Choosing a template, picking a mood, formatting an entry — every step is somewhere to stall before a single thought has been captured. Just Yap removes the setup entirely. There is no blank page to design and no format to get right, because the only thing asked of you is to start talking. The friction moves off you and onto the software.

How is it different from a normal journal app?

A normal journal stores what you wrote. Just Yap acts on it. Tasks you mentioned in passing become a tracked list instead of a forgotten sentence. Ideas go to a vault you can search later. Feelings are logged over time, so patterns become visible rather than remembered. It also keeps context between entries, which means something you said last week can resurface when it turns out to matter — the part most journals leave entirely to you.
